Love Letters

The letters

My husband and I wrote letters to each other from May until September in 1987. We met in early May, went home to our separate coasts, visited twice, and I moved to California five months after we left.

I don’t think I’ve ever re-read the letters, just carried them around from house to house, and took them on another cross country move.

I read them all again the other day. Wow. Talk about some in-depth thoughts and dreams. Mine, of course. His letters were sometimes a half of a page. But they talked of our visits, and our day to day lives.

I look at my husband now and I fall in love with him all over again.

I am a collector of family history - pictures, stories, facts - whatever I can get my hands on. I share that at It's All About Family. I started Thoughts From the Passenger Seat because I have a lot on my mind! It started riding on the back of my husband's motorcycle and on business appointments but I don't do much of either anymore but the thoughts are still there. I enjoy writing and I hope you find something that you connect with on either of my blogs. Thoughtsfromthepassengerseat.blog - Thoughts From the Passenger Seat NancyB422.com - It’s All About Family

  1. My wife still has the notes and cards we wrote each other when we first dated. We spent our first two years together doing the long distance thing so it’s actually pretty cool going back and reading them every couple of years. They really are a glimpse into the past.
