Tactile

I would much rather write out notes or items in a calendar than type them into my phone or IPad.

Likely because that way I know where to find the information or event, especially if I’ve entered it into my Notes app. What a jumble that is!

Not only do I put events in my daily planner page, but I will also put them into the monthly calendar positioned at the beginning of each month’s worth of individual days so I can find something, or count how many stories I’ve written or social media posts made for work.

Google said that writing things out is good for “enhanced memory coding” and I’m here for that. I’ve always been a big notetaker in classes, using those notes to study. Later in our business, I would take the notes when we met with homeowners, writing down everything that was said and then transcribing them to make sure nothing was missed in conversations.

I’m in the process of planning excursions for our trip to Charleston South Carolina next month and everything is getting handwritten into my travel notebook. I’ll use the same notebook to make a diary of the actual trip.

Are you a fan of writing it out or typing it in?

I am a collector of family history - pictures, stories, facts - whatever I can get my hands on. I share that at It's All About Family. I started Thoughts From the Passenger Seat because I have a lot on my mind! It started riding on the back of my husband's motorcycle and on business appointments but I don't do much of either anymore but the thoughts are still there. I enjoy writing and I hope you find something that you connect with on either of my blogs. Thoughtsfromthepassengerseat.blog - Thoughts From the Passenger Seat NancyB422.com - It’s All About Family
